The student is in multiple programs (concentrations, majors, certificates), but I only see one listed.

Each program is listed on a separate audit screen. To change screens, use the Degree drop-down near the top of the screen as illustrated below. If the second program is not there, it may not have been declared or approved yet. Contact the College of Fine and Applied Arts Dean's Office if you believe there is an error.

I have been suspended and allowed to return under a forgiveness. Will my financial aid be reinstated?

Undergraduate students who have been academically suspended are ineligible for federal, state and institutional financial aid. A student must be in good academic standing and meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) towards completion of a degree or certificate program.

Is my information confidential?

Yes, the information used in your audit comes from your Banner student data record, and is confidential as required by FERPA.  Remember that your faculty advisor and selected staff will be able to view the information contained in DegreeWorks.

What if the major, concentration or minor is listed incorrectly?

DegreeWorks is a front end for information in the Banner student data system, so DegreeWorks displays only what is recorded as official program(s) of study. The information is updated each night, so any changes made are available for viewing the following morning.

To add / change majors, minors, concentrations or catalog year,  students must submit the appropriate Change of Major / Minor / Catalog Year Form.

How do I change or add a major?

Students will need to complete the change of major process for the college they seek to change or add a major in.

If you are unsure of which college the new major is housed, please visit Appalachian’s Undergraduate Programs website to find out and then use the list below to request a major change.

How current will my information be in DegreeWorks?

The Banner student data information is refreshed each night.  Any changes made today (e.g., grade changes or classes added/dropped) will be seen in DegreeWorks the following morning.

Can I register for classes in DegreeWorks?

No, DegreeWorks is a snapshot of your in-progress courses, your pre-registered courses and your academic history. Registration is handled through the Student Services portal of AppalNet.
