This summer, Communication Studies major, Ava Castillo, is gaining valuable professional experience as a Marketing Intern at Arthur Elliott, a creative agency known for its collaborative culture and strategic approach to client work.
From her first day, Ava stepped into an environment where she was encouraged to ask questions, contribute ideas, and learn from professionals across departments. One of the most impactful parts of her internship has been sitting in on client meetings and internal strategy discussions, giving her a firsthand look at how marketing campaigns are developed and executed.
Ava has worked on several meaningful projects, including conducting an audit of NAPA Auto Parts’ job postings, analyzing hiring trends, rewriting job descriptions, and presenting her recommendations to the NAPA team. She has also gained experience in content creation, marketing research, strategic communication, and presenting data-driven insights.

She shared that this internship has strengthened her skills in public speaking, professional communication, research, and content creation — and has deepened her passion for marketing. Beyond technical skills, Ava has built strong professional relationships, explored new marketing tools, and grown in confidence as a communicator.
Ava’s experience at Arthur Elliott has prepared her for the next steps in her early career, and we are proud to highlight her work and growth this summer.
