Studio Art BFA, Alissa Goble, Selected for Her First International Exhibition in Munich, Germany

Appalachian State University student Alissa Goble (Studio Art BFA Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design) has reached a significant career milestone, earning selection for her first international art exhibition. Her work will debut in "Fragility," an exhibition organized by the esteemed international art jewelry organization Alliages.

A Global Stage:
The Munich World Premiere

The exhibition will celebrate its world premiere in Munich, Germany, from March 4th to March 7th, 2026, at the Werkstatt-Galerie. The event coincides with Schmuck, the world's most renowned gathering for contemporary studio jewelry. https://schmuck-muenchen.org/en/

Out of 188 global applications, Goble was one of only 70 artists selected by curator Juan Riusech. The selection process focused on the delicate balance of tradition and innovation, highlighting the vast possibilities within the field of contemporary art jewelry. The list of international artists included in the exhibition can be viewed here: https://alliages.org/

The 2026 exhibition, titled Fragility, challenges artists to explore the delicate nature of materials, emotions, and the human condition. In a field often defined by the permanence of metal, this theme invites a dialogue on vulnerability and the technical precision required to handle "fragile" concepts within a structural medium.

"To have my work recognized on an international level, especially within the context of Munich Highlights week, is an incredible honor," says Goble.

Exhibition Highlights & Mystery
In a move to preserve the impact of the live experience, Alliages maintains a strict policy of visual secrecy leading up to the premiere. While Goble's selection is confirmed, the specific piece chosen for the showcase will remain under wraps until the doors open in Munich, ensuring a high-impact reveal for the international arts community.

Exhibition Schedule
World Premiere: March 4–7, 2026
Location: Werkstatt-Galerie, ZentnerStrasse 3, Munich, Germany
Curator: Juan Riusech, Alliages

Following the Munich premiere, the exhibition is expected to travel to various international galleries throughout the year.
