The Smith Gallery Presents: BFA Senior Studio Exhibition

The Smith Gallery presents APEX, the BFA Senior Studio Exhibition for Fall 2014. The exhibition is on view through Dec. 12 and includes work by the candidates for the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art. A closing reception will be held at the gallery Dec. 12 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

For the past year, these students have been working with April Flanders, associate professor in the Department of Art. Flanders said, “This is an ambitious and talented group of young artists. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to see their work develop.”

Artists featured in the exhibit are Angela Jo Hercula, Kristina Key, Jessica Lellie, Claire Lenahan, Leah Solita Mangum, Blossom Paige Reed, Cassie Russell, Alex Swing and Ania Ziolkowski.

The exhibition will be on view in multiple locations on campus and in the community. All of the students will be represented in the exhibition at the Smith Gallery in the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts.

Cassie Russell also will have a solo exhibition on view at the Looking Glass Gallery in Plemmons Student Union through Dec. 12. A reception for Russell will be held Dec. 12 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the gallery.
