Registration is open for summer Craft Enrichment classes

Registration is open for the Michael R. Patricelli Craft Enrichment Program at Appalachian State University. The program offers a variety of classes for novices, advanced students or individuals ready to explore a new hobby. Some classes begin as early as May 24 and fill up quickly, so early registration is encouraged. Affiliation with the university is not required to register.

The program is offering three new classes this summer – Bead Weaving Pendants, Bracelets and Earrings; Photoshop for Beginners; and Sewing Fundamentals. Four new instructors will put their individual stamp on established classes.

Other summer classes include:

  • Batik Fundamentals
  • Basket Making
  • Bead Making (lampworking)
  • Digital Photography
  • Drawing
  • Glass Fusing and Slumping
  • Jewelry Making, beginning and intermediate
  • Oil and Acrylic Painting
  • Pottery for all skill levels
  • Quilting
  • Stained Glass
  • Video Production
  • Weaving

Prices range from $135 to $190, and for most classes, this fee covers the cost of materials and parking passes (for classes that meet during business hours). Free, convenient parking is available for evening and weekend classes.

Small class sizes provide individual attention from dedicated instructors, and participants will have the opportunity to use professional-level while honing their skills as a beginner, intermediate or advanced artist.
