Joshua White, an assistant professor in the Department of Art, will be featured in the September issues of National Geographic for his series “A Photographic Survey of the American Yard.” The article was written by James Estrin of the New York Times Lens blog. Of his series White writes, “The world is full of intricate, remarkable forms, but we take for granted our place in nature, trading sensitivity to our surroundings for greater productivity and progress.
