Interior Design professor studies hospital design and fear response

Hessam Ghamari's findings were recently published in Health Environments Research & Design (HERD), a prestigious healthcare design journal.  The study examined whether exposure to curve versus sharp contours in the healthcare setting produces a fear response in healthy adults. After collecting preference data from 36 test subjects, researchers concluded that hospital forms do have a systematic impact on fear response during precognitive stages of human perception.
