CIDA reaffirms Interior Design accreditation

The Council of Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) has reaffirmed accreditation of the Appalachian State Interior Design program until 2022. According to the CIDA website, "Accreditation is a voluntary process that promotes and recognizes quality in higher education. Accrediting agencies develop quality standards for higher education at the institution or program level in consultation with an appropriate range of community stakeholders." The reaffirmation means that our program meets the quality standards recognized by the profession, and students can be confident in the education and professional preparation provided through the major. The program was first accredited by CIDA in 2009, and accreditation is reaffirmed every six years.
