Allusion of a Symphony: Exhibition Reception at Mckinney Alumni Center on April 28, 2026

BOONE, NC- The Exhibition Practicum class in the Department of Art at Appalachian State University proudly presents Allusion of a Symphony, an exhibition using artwork from the Plemmons Student Union Appalachian Artist Collection and the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts Permanent Collection. This exhibition invites viewers to engage beyond observation, encouraging connections to sound, memory, and personal experience. In doing so, Allusion of a Symphony becomes a living composition celebrating artistic unity and the power of art to connect across mediums, cultures, and perspectives. This exhibition was made possible through collaboration with the Mckinney Alumni Center, Turchin Center for the Visual Arts, and the Plemmons Student Union.
