Epperly shows a PSA

Appalachian State University Communication Studies senior Morgan Epperly presents one of the public service announcement videos on early voting on Tuesday, Oct. 16.

BOONE — In an effort to galvanize more students to take advantage of early-voting hours, the Watauga County Board of Elections teamed up with a class taught by professor Lynn Dee Gregory at Appalachian State University and AppTV to create and broadcast three public service announcements.

According to Watauga BOE Director Matthew Snyder, the partnership started when he reached out to ASU about different subjects, including empowering students as poll workers, plus creating training videos and PSAs.
