Treadaway named Dean of College of Fine and Applied Arts
Provost Stan Aeschleman has announced that Glenda Treadaway has been named dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts. She has served as interim dean of the college since June 2007.
Dr. Aeschleman stated that Dr. Treadaway is a proven leader on the Appalachian campus and that her expertise and understanding of the university’s challenges and opportunities will promote academic excellence.
Treadaway was chair of the Department of Communication at Appalachian from June 2005 to June 2007. She holds a Ph.D. in rhetoric from Ohio University, a master of arts degree in speech communication from the University of Georgia, and a bachelor of science degree from Wingate College.
