ASU ROTC Cadets Active in Community Service in Recent Weeks

Appalachian State University's ROTC Cadets are active in community service events throughout the year, in addition to maintaining academic standards and training for and competing in competitions. Most recently, student cadets represented the unvieristy and contributed to two very important causes.

In late February, cadets braved a cold, snowy day to participate in the ASU Polar Plunge, an event that raises money for Special Olymipics athletes in Watauga County and is sponsored by the Watauga County Parks and Recreation as well as local law enforcement agencies. ASU ROTC raised the most money of any school group, presenting a check for $1,726. The event raised a total of $7, 310. To learn more about this year's Polar Plunge, click here.
